What did CWR Mobility and Microsoft announce?

CWR Mobility and Microsoft announced on February 6, 2012 that the Microsoft Dynamics® CRM Q2 2012 service update will deliver the capability for customers to access the complete functionality of Microsoft Dynamics CRM on any device with a new cloud-based, cross-platform, native mobile client service called Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile for Windows® Phone 7, iPad®, iPhone®, Android™ and BlackBerry®  mobile devices.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers will now have two ways to extend their Dynamics CRM instances natively to mobile devices.  Customers who want to run the mobile solution on their own servers can purchase CWR Mobile CRM from their CWR Mobility partner or, if they want to add mobility as a cloud-based service, customers can purchase a subscription from Microsoft.

How will Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile be offered by Microsoft?

Microsoft’s press release states that Microsoft Dynamics CRM Mobile will be available at a starting price of $30 per user, per month and supports the use of up to three devices per user.

Is there a solution available for customers with on-premise Microsoft Dynamics CRM who need to run it on their own servers?

Yes. CWR Mobility will continue to offer CWR Mobile CRM to customers who want or need to run their mobility solution on their own servers. CWR Mobile CRM supports all on-premise deployment scenarios (AD, IFD, ADFS).

What versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM does CWR Mobile CRM support?

CWR Mobile CRM supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, 4.0 and 3.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Support All Platforms?

Yes.  CWR Mobile CRM 2011 supports all the major mobile platforms, including iPhone®, iPad®, BlackBerry®, Android™ and Microsoft® Windows Phone devices.

Can I access my Dynamics CRM 2011 data when I’m offline?

Yes.  CWR Mobile CRM 2011 smart clients access data from a local, encrypted database on your mobile device.  This approach not only offers you the speed and performance of a native application, but provides every time, everywhere access to your CRM system -- even when out of cell range, in a parking garage, office building or on an airplane.  And, once you have connectivity again, CWR Mobile CRM 2011 automatically synchronizes your data for you in the background.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 provide native clients for each mobile platform?

Yes.  CWR Mobile CRM 2011 delivers the familiar Dynamics CRM user experience optimized for each mobile platform.  Users benefit from the native device experience on iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry and Microsoft Windows Phone devices.  CWR Mobile CRM 2011 smart clients work just as you would expect them to on each device platform, maximizing user adoption, productivity and effectiveness.  And, an evaluation version of a native client for Android is now available, with the final release coming soon.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Support Advanced CRM Functionality?

Yes. In addition to enabling all of the basic Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 functionality, such as creating activities, converting leads, closing opportunities, etc., there is full support for both standard and custom CRM entities.  There are no limitations on the number or type of views you can have into accounts, contacts and opportunities, etc. Moreover, all of this great functionality is entirely available even when you are completely offline – with no access to any cell or WiFi connection.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Offer Full CRM Configuration?

Yes. CWR Mobile CRM 2011 significantly expands the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and extends them to all of the major mobile platforms. Most customers have extensive customizations which they or their partner has made to optimize the value they get from their Dynamics CRM system. CWR Mobile CRM 2011 enables customers to take full advantage of all of these custom entities, forms, views, etc., by extending them to mobile devices.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Require Any Additional Infrastructure?

No.  CWR Mobile CRM 2011 is built in, with and for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 and doesn’t require any additional tools, middleware or infrastructure. This means that you can leverage all of your existing investment in Microsoft and Dynamics CRM tools and skills to enhance, maintain and support your mobile solution.

Is CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Certified for Microsoft Dynamics?

Yes. CWR Mobile CRM 2011 is one of a small set of ISV solutions that meets the bar as being “certified” by Microsoft. CWR Mobile CRM 2011 is fully compliant with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK, so customizations or modifications made within Dynamics CRM or with the SDK can be extended by CWR Mobile CRM 2011 to the mobile devices.

Do I Need to Call Multiple Companies for Support?

No.  If you have a question about your mobility solution, there is only one company you need to call: CWR Mobility.  We will take complete responsibility for resolving your issue.  We built our smart clients from the ground up ourselves so CWR Mobile CRM 2011 doesn’t rely on software from other companies to run on your phone.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Rely on Any Third-Party Components?

No, CWR Mobile CRM 2011 is built from the ground up natively on each mobile platform.  We do not rely on any third-party middleware and we do not use anything like cross-compilers to attempt to be native on each platform.  We build it all from scratch.  One key benefit to you is that we have 100% control over our software and can update it as needed – without being dependent on any third parties or tools.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Offer Smart Screen Pop Ups?

No. Rather than implement pop-ups, CWR Mobility has optimized the way lead, account and contact forms, etc., open so that it links the records and automatically closes the previous form so that users don’t end up with lots and lots of open screens, which can be confusing and reduce a phone’s overall performance.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Offer Integrated Data Mapping?

Yes.  CWR Mobile CRM 2011 provides mapping functionality, which includes being able to access navigation to get driving directions for addresses belonging to a CRM Account, Contact or Lead.

Can I Enter Data Offline?

Yes. CWR Mobile CRM 2011 provides native smart clients on Apple iPhone, RIM BlackBerry and Microsoft Windows Phone platforms to enable full offline access. Users don’t need to be online to create leads, accounts, contacts, etc. All of this functionality is available even when on an airplane. As soon as online access is available again, the application’s local database will be automatically synchronized with the server.

Is CWR Mobile CRM 2011 Always Running on My BlackBerry?

No. CWR is only running on your BlackBerry when you need it to -- or want it. This way your phone boots quickly rather than having to wait for those legacy TSR applications that have to reload each and every time you restart your device.  Additionally, you can close CWR anytime you want.  So, if there is some other corporate application that hogs all the BlackBerry memory, you can just close CWR Mobile CRM 2011 and re-launch it anytime you need it.

How deep does your support for custom entities go?

CWR Mobile CRM 2011 supports all Dynamics CRM 2011 entities, including custom entities.

Can users work with custom entities offline as well?

Yes. All entities are also available offline as well as online.

Can custom entity forms for mobile devices be different than the PC web forms? Do you provide a tool for designing them?

Yes. In fact, with its profile-based approach, CWR Mobile CRM 2011 enables customers to create different forms for different organization user roles. Mobile forms are designed by the CRM adminstrator inside of Dynamics CRM using the CWR Mobile Configurator, just as a CRM administrator would design standard CRM forms.

Does CWR Mobile CRM 2011 support Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online?

Yes. CWR Mobile CRM 2011 supports flexible deployment, and can work with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 when run on-premise or in the cloud, as in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online or when hosted by a partner.
