Google-Salesforce.com partnership?

Just read that Google and Salesforce.com are partnering to compete better against Microsoft. Read it here: http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588_22-6185199.html.

It is said one outcome could be an integration of some of Google's online services such as email and instant messaging with salesforce.com. So what does this mean for MS CRM (Live)?

Email integration is already pretty good, maybe some more integration with online mail services (Hotmail). And it shouldn't be too difficult to integrate a good web based MSN right? There's a whole spectrum of Live services (Search, Mappoint, Earth, MSN, etc) that can be integrated so that should give some nice opportunities.
